Guided tour of the cemetery "Graves tell stories of Ludwigslust personalities"

"Graves tell stories" - guided tour of the cemetery to Ludwigslust personalities

Hidden behind old gravestones are moving life stories, exciting fates and a piece of the town's history. On this tour of the Ludwigslust cemetery, we meet people who have shaped the life of the town.

Among other things, we visit the grave of Helene von Bülow, founder and first matron of Bethlehem Abbey, as well as that of the writer and publisher of the "Mecklenburgische Monatshefte" Johannes Gillhoff. We also discover the work of the painter, graphic artist and illustrator Herbert Bartholomäus.

At Hermann Schulze's grave, we trace the beginnings of meat and sausage production in Ludwigslust, while the life story of Bruno Theek, "peace pastor" and first mayor in the post-war period, takes us back to an eventful time.

But the focus is not only on the personalities: the cemetery itself also tells of the development of the town and its inhabitants. Look forward to interesting stories, surprising insights and a special evening in a place full of memories.
