Cattu the dreamcatcher

Cattu, the Dreamcatcher—aka Carsten van den Berg—is a kind of living dreamcatcher!

In many of his songs, children’s dreams are actually captured for a brief moment: songs about racing snails, squirrels, pirates, owls, knights, hats, or, for example, the secret of the ladybug’s spots. If you had to sum up Cattu’s music in a (very short) phrase, you could describe it this way: “Children’s songs with wit and energy, but also with contemplative moments, offering plenty of fun for everyone to join in and sing along.”

A trained music teacher and former music editor at a textbook publisher, he has been writing his own children’s songs since
2002. With his “Dreamcatcher Interactive Programs,” this Rhinelander living in Berlin
performs in theaters, daycare centers, schools, and at festivals and events throughout Germany.
