The weekend from April 17 to 19 at Badow Castle is all about driving with traditional hitches. Friends of historic driving culture are cordially invited to an informative exchange of experiences. The event is aimed at passionate traditional drivers and those looking for an introduction to the subject.
Numerous examples will be used to discuss questions such as: What types of traditional driving events are there? What are the requirements for participation? Which carriages are used? Which horses are suitable? How should the carriage occupants be dressed?
An excursion to the Mecklenburg Carriage Museum in Kobrow, delicacies from the regional cuisine and cozy evenings by the fireplace round off the offer.
Badow Castle is located on the edge of the Schaalsee biosphere reserve, a 30-minute drive west of Schwerin and an hour east of Hamburg with good connections to the A24 highway.the former manor house has fully equipped, spacious vacation apartments. The adjoining park is home to the horses and the growing collection of carriages.
