An animal story (5+) for narrator, wind quintet and percussion
During a visit to the zoo, radio reporter Peter Pieper, who is usually wide awake, falls asleep on a park bench, wakes up in the middle of the night and experiences a big party that the zoo animals celebrate once a year - the Carnival of the Animals! At this lavish party, Peter Pieper meets his host, the lion, as well as cackling chickens, dancing wolves and donkeys and even a mythical creature. Inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns' popular "Carnival of the Animals", Andreas N. Tarkmann has put together an "alternative" carnival. The musicians of the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra embark on an entertaining musical-zoological journey.
