The carnival season traditionally begins on November 11. This occasion is also celebrated in Neubrandenburg: At 11:11 a.m., the jesters symbolically take over the keys to the town hall and the city treasury.
The carnival march starts at 10:45 am at the HKB. Accompanied by brass bands and the Prinzenmobil, the colorful procession makes its way along the boulevard towards the town hall. The carnivalists arrive there at around 11:00 am, before the official opening of the carnival season takes place at 11:11 am.
The program includes a welcome by the Tollensia Carnival Club (KC Tollensia), a speech by the Prince and a speech by Lord Mayor Nico Klose before the symbolic town hall key is handed over to the carnival crowd. Between the speeches, the clubs KC Tollensia e.V. and SV Turbine will provide an entertaining program.
