Canadian Bluesman: Marty Hall

The Bluesman - Ever Since / Stole The Blues An open air concert evening with the virtuoso Canadian guitarist and singer-songwriter Marty Hall is something extraordinary. He has developed his blues, roots, rock and ballads into his own high art form of minimalism in an inimitable sound - his trademark. His repertoire includes deeply emotional, original compositions such as "Precious Love", "Swirlin' Round And Round", "Center Lane" as well as very personal interpretations of 20th century blues and roots classics such as those by Willie Dixon, Freddie King, Jimmy Reed and B.B. King.

Marty Hall has thrilled audiences with his virtuoso guitar technique and charismatic stage presence at thousands of performances on the most prestigious cultural stages in Europe and Canada - from Akueyri to Palermo, B.P. Club Zagreb, Yale Club in Vancouver, La Laiterie Strasbourg and Piazza Dante in Verona. His international breakthrough came at the end of the 1990s with the release of 3 albums under
the label ENJA Records, Munich - Hansa / Sony BMG.

Süddeutsche Zeitung: "Hall, it seems, has stuffed a whole band into his guitar. All the voices of a complete arrangement can be heard. Chords, bass lines, rhythm, backbeats. These are joined by playful interjections, ornate solos, extremely puristic, yet full of heartfelt warmth and passion. This is truly great music". (Andreas Pernpeintner)
