Theatre & Stage

With "Zelten!", the Theater am Bahnhof brings a comedy about nature conservation, mass tourism and the small impositions of camping life to the stage.

On July 7, 2026, the comedy "Zelten!" will celebrate its premiere at the Stadtkulturhaus Ribnitz-Damgarten. Admission is from 6.30 pm, start at 7 pm. Admission is free, but donations are expressly requested.

The play describes itself as a comedy about observing one's own neglect and as a humorous look at camping between nature conservation and mass tourism. For some, camping in nature is the epitome of freedom, peace and relaxation, for others it is more of a trial of uncomfortable nights, mosquito bites and warm drinks. Where such opposites meet, malice, ridicule and plenty of situation comedy are not far away.

At the same time, the play takes a tongue-in-cheek look at conflicts of use in vacation regions: nature conservationists, campsites and tourist interests. Real-life role models are, of course, purely coincidental.

"TaB" - Theater am Bahnhof is an independent inclusive theater group at Kreisdiakonisches Werk Stralsund e. V.
