Botany - Course in the Arboretum Greifswald | Part 1 with Dr. Sabrina Rilke | Participation: 10 Euro | Registration required
We start our plant course with winter buds.
The aim is to recognize ten important native trees by their buds. The species can be easily distinguished by their color, position on the branch and the number of bud scales. Beech, maple and ash in particular are real eye-catchers.
Five tours of the Greifswald Arboretum and Botanical Garden are planned throughout the year on the theme of "Seeing plants". We will track down small peculiarities with a magnifying glass. We will take 2 hours each time to explore species according to the theme. Only in January will we only look at buds for an hour. If there are exciting conversations, we don't have to finish on time.
Please bring a magnifying glass if you have one.
