In a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, historian Dr. Sven Wichert presents his new popular scientific overview work on the prehistory and early history of the Island of Rügen up to its Christianization - a book that is already being eagerly awaited. The publication is aimed at anyone who is interested in the past without having studied archaeology or history. Sven Wichert wrote specifically for knowledge-hungry laymen, not for a purely academic audience. It contains numerous illustrations and is briskly written - but it is not light reading. Rügen's history is also embedded in the developments of the neighboring regions.
