In the second volume of her Ahrenshoop memoirs, Ingrid Schreyer describes how she and her citizens' initiative "Schießplatz a.D." successfully protested against the use of the National Park of Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft by the German Armed Forces from 1990 onwards. She reports on her trip to the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn in 1991, on demonstrations in front of the Zingst barracks and on a TV debate with officers of the Bundeswehr.
