Publishers and authors from the region are gathering once again in Loitz to host the 2026 Vorpommern Book Fair. Once again, KulturKonsum Loitz is hosting this popular event, which has long since established itself as a staple gathering place for literature enthusiasts.
Two years have already flown by, and literature enthusiasts are once again gathering in Loitz on the first weekend of September. Publishers and authors from the region invite you to the 2026 Vorpommern Book Fair. Once again, KulturKonsum Loitz is hosting this popular event, which has long since established itself as a regular gathering place for literature enthusiasts. Visitors can expect a diverse selection of new releases and tried-and-true long-sellers from the Vorpommern regional literary scene. In addition, the fair offers numerous opportunities to chat with authors and experience exciting readings.
The book fair will be open on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The reading program begins on Saturday at
1:00 p.m. with children’s books by Martina Loose
at 2 p.m., Christine Koch invites you to focus on the little things in everyday life and to question familiar perspectives
then at 3 p.m., Reinhard Bach will discuss the life and work of Ernst Moritz Arndt.
On Sunday, the program also begins at
1:00 p.m. Frank Biederstaedt will present his new book, “Pioneers of West Pomeranian Light,” about the development of photography in Vorpommern
Starting at 2 p.m., journalist Janet Lindemann invites you to an entertaining game session featuring her brand-new Rügen quiz
At 3:00 p.m., Peter Hoffmann will present his semi-autobiographical Stralsund crime novel “Echte Strunken.”
