Moor discoverer
A moor right on our doorstep? In the coastal forest between Karlshagen and Trassenheide, numerous dune valleys are slowly becoming boggy - and equipped with magnifying glasses and curiosity, we can discover the first features of emerging bogs. How can you determine the age of a bog? What is peat actually made of and why is it so important? And which special animals call the moor their home? We will get to the bottom of all these questions and more in a playful way!
It is important to wear sturdy shoes, mosquito repellent and a small towel if necessary - as real moor explorers, we are not afraid to get a little dirty. This event has been organized in cooperation with the Succow Foundation and as part of the joint project "Gemeinsam Mee(h)r Natur in Vorpommern wagen". You can find more information at: https://www.lebenslandschaft-vorpommern.de/. This is a public event. Please book a separate date for groups/school classes. Participation at your own risk.
