IIt's blues time: musicians from the international blues scene will be visiting Binz this year from 11 to 14 June for the multi-award-winning Blue Wave Festival Binz. Plucking, drumming and singing in many places will make New Orleans pale with envy.
BIG CREEK SLIM & BAND (DNK, FIN, GBR, DEU)
Big Creek Slim a.k.a. Marc Rune from Denmark is a blues artist of the classic variety through and through. Strictly speaking, he belongs to the blues from the Mississippi Delta. His singing is raw, unaffected and comes straight from the heart and his love for this music from the southern USA. Some call it black. His voice and guitar playing reflect a brilliant combination of natural gift and deep devotion. Creek has released nine albums, won several awards and is the winner of the Blues Union USA's "Best Acoustic Blues Album".
Creek tours with the current line-up with whom he recorded his last album "Going To Germany" in 2024. The current album (February 2026) "Real to Reel" will be presented exclusively at the Blue Wave Festival.
