From June 12 to 14, 2026, the Beach Handball Cup Warnemünde will transform the widest sandy beach in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern into a top-class sports arena. In total, over 200 teams from the U10s to the ladies will compete for the title at the tournament. With a view of the sea, dinner right on the beach and a unique atmosphere, the weekend offers pure handball action on the Baltic Sea.
Warnemünde is preparing for a top-class sporting highlight. From June 12 to 14, 2026, the Baltic resort will once again be the center of beach handball, at least for the weekend! Over 200 teams will compete against each other on the fine-grained sand of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's widest beach to crown their winners against a unique backdrop of the sound of the sea and sunsets.
The wide range of participants promises excitement at all levels. In the male age groups, talented players from U10 to U19 compete against each other. Among the female participants, the field is even wider: in addition to the youth teams (U10-U19), the women's category will also compete for the trophy. The mixture makes for an exciting atmosphere in the Strand Arena Warnemünde, which is located directly on the 150-metre-long pier.
A key feature of the Beach Handball Cup is the close connection of accommodation and catering to the tournament venue: many accommodations are within walking distance or a few minutes' drive away. Depending on their choice, participants can stay in schools, youth hostels, vacation homes or in hotels and hostels in Warnemünde and nearby Rostock. While breakfast is taken in the respective accommodation, dinner is served in a large tent directly on the tournament beach. The athletes can end the day together here with a view of the Baltic Sea.
Three days full of action and supporting program
The tournament begins on Friday evening, June 12, with a grand opening ceremony and the first matches. Saturday is all about sport and will be complemented by the popular BALLFREUNDE game stations, which will provide entertainment away from the handball courts. After the final placement matches on Sunday, the event ends with the respective award ceremonies. The Beach Handball Cup Warnemünde 2026 once again promises to be an unforgettable weekend full of fair play, team spirit and vacation flair on one of Germany's most beautiful coasts.
