Swift noctule bats, hunting water bats, silently flying long-eared bats and the three bat dwarfs - hike with box inspection and use of the bat detector, with Paul Blei from the Friends' Association
Discover the fascinating world of bats around the Haussee with us! On this interesting evening tour, you will learn how different the lifestyles of the various native bat species are and what role they play in the ecosystem.
Paul Blei from the Friends' Association will accompany you on this special excursion and share his extensive knowledge about the mysterious night owls with you.
Together we will observe swift evening swifts, hunting water bats, silently flying long-eared bats and the three bat dwarfs. A special highlight is the box inspection: participants learn how and why special bat boxes are inspected and what treasures are hidden inside.
With the help of a bat detector, we make the ultrasonic sounds of bats, which are inaudible to the human ear, audible and experience their hunt up close. This is an exciting way to understand the hidden life of the animals.
The tour is aimed at all interested parties - families with children are very welcome. Please remember to bring weatherproof clothing and a flashlight. The meeting point is on Saturday, August 22 at 8 p.m. in Schorssow at the beach.
