The Förderverein der Seemannskirche is showing the painting "My father sees an angel" by Georg Baselitz non-stop for 72 hours.
As a teenager, he spent his vacations with his parents at the campsite in Prerow. Today he is ranked third in the world's most important living painters: Georg Baselitz. At Whitsun, the Friends of the Seemannskirche will be presenting his 3 x 4 m painting "My father sees an angel" in the church for 72 hours non-stop around the clock. The artwork has only been shown twice in the world so far and takes up a scene from those campsite visits. Upside down, of course, as is customary with Georg Baselitz.
Free admission, open around the clock.
