Calmus Ensemble
The Well-Tempered Clavier rethought: Ukrainian pianist Natalya Pasichnyk has assigned excerpts from Bach's chorales, arias or cantatas to each prelude and fugue. This results in a reorganization of the 48 pieces into a coherent story - a reflection on the existence of mankind. The Calmus Ensemble, an a cappella quintet from Leipzig, allows us to immerse ourselves in Bach's spiritual universe in a completely new way, in line with Albert Schweitzer's conviction: "Nowhere can one understand as well as in the Well-Tempered Clavier that Bach saw his art as a religion".
