Presentations and lectures for the 80th Greifswald Bach Week in cooperation with the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Greifswalder Bachwoche e. V.
The opening event of the Greifswald Bach Week 2026 introduces the motto "BACH ad infinitum". Presentations and lectures will shed light on the unlimited dimensions of Johann Sebastian Bach's music and the unbroken continuity of the Bach Week. The focus will be on different approaches to Bach: interpretation, spiritual interpretation, contemporary compositional perspectives and connections to music of different origins and styles. The event outlines the thematic horizon of the festival and provides an insight into its thematic, artistic and academic focus.
