On the trail of strong women
The presentation is based on a traveling exhibition on Rügen and on an online gallery of the state government of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (frauen-in-mv.de), for whose texts the two authors are also responsible.
This time, the extraordinary lives of the top athlete Steffi Nerius (*1972), the baroque poet Sibylla Schwartz (1621-1638), the GDR architect Iris Grund (*1933), the environmental activist Marlies Preller (*1949), the charitable count's daughterAdeline von Schimmelmann (1854-1913) and the artist and nun Tisa von der Schulenburg (1903-2001). As different as these women may be, they have one thing in common: they all crossed borders.
