"In mien Brägen dröhnt un prasselt dat. It feels like a rake in the head."
Anteater Gunnelt doesn't know what to do because he simply has too much to do! He actually enjoys being a janitor in the rainforest. He likes to be there for all the other animals when they need him. But somehow he's not enjoying anything at the moment. It feels like he has rain on his mind! His roommate Guschi, the armadillo, advises him to relax a bit and go for a walk! Fortunately, Gunnelt's path leads him to Doctor Willi the monkey. He has an important tip for him: P. A. U. S. E. Will the sun soon shine again for Gunnelt?
In their picture book debut, Hamburg author and songwriter Ove Thomsen and illustrator Melf Petersen explain in a child-friendly and imaginative way how to be mindful and take care of yourself. In 2023, they received the "Low German Book of the Year" award for their work, because when it comes to mindfulness, it's always best to start early. After the successful premiere in Schwerin in early 2025, the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne has already performed this mobile children's play over twenty times on tour in elementary school and daycare centers in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
