On the occasion of the art event "Kunst offen", Mrs. Kriedel presents her works, 3 pm: - Puppet theater Kriedelfix - with Till Eulenspiegel
The freelance artist and trained educator Martina Kriedel has been working in her own studio in Zapel near Hagenow for more than 20 years. Originally from Rhineland-Palatinate, she has made a name for herself here in MV: she delights visitors with portrait painting, art projects, children's groups, artistic calendars and little town books. She also delights young and old alike with her Kriedelfix puppet theater, which features puppets she has made herself based on well-known and her own fairy tales. She also develops radio plays for the puppet theater based on her own ideas as an author. In collaboration with musician Benjamin Hildebrandt, who sets the pieces to music, she creates unique, magical fairy tales. In 2018, she was nominated for the Ludwig Reinhard Culture Prize. Since 2007, she has been involved in the "Kunst offen" art campaign in MV, which takes place every year. This year, she is presenting portraits in charcoal and chalk drawings, oil paintings and her "Church Booklet" with charcoal drawings of village churches in the region. Her marionettes will also be on display. On May 23 and 24, 2026 at 3 p.m., the Kriedelfix puppet theater will perform a short puppet play based on motifs from Till Eulenspiegel. www.das-atelier-kriedel.de
