The wood artist KD-Meyer from Kühlungsborn is showing a selection of his work in the village church of Groß Grenz.
Klaus-Dieter (KD) Meyer is a master carpenter by trade, trainer and lecturer in wood technology and has been a freelance wood designer with a studio and gallery at Hermann-Häcker-Straße 30 in Kühlungsborn since 2009.
The artist's imagination and manual skills take the natural beauty of wood, shape it further, embed it in new forms and colors and combine it with other materials such as stone and metal.
This results in figurative or abstract sculptures in wood or stone, bowls made from local woods, living room decorations of various kinds, but also furniture for the home and garden and, last but not least, animals made from wood.
All visitors are cordially invited to linger for a moment over coffee and cake in the idyllic church garden. The Friends' Association welcomes donations for the preservation of the village church.
As a special highlight, the association invites you to a concert in the village church on Saturday, 23.05.2026 at 5 pm.
With the duo "Köppen & Kirschner" (guitar and accordion) and Ulrike Henneke (flute), we can expect a broad spectrum of tango, musette, klezmer, folk and world music.
Look forward to an event with a sunny atmosphere, drinks and snacks from the barbecue.
Admission concert 12,00€.
