An exhibition of newly acquired woodcuts by the sculptor and graphic artist Gerhard Marcks from the 1920s and 1930s.
Following last year's great success, the Gerhard Marcks Künstlerhaus is showing newly acquired woodcuts by the sculptor, graphic artist and draughtsman Gerhard Marcks (1889-1981) from the 1920s and 1930s. The works come from the museum's steadily growing collection since its opening in 2019. In addition to well-known works such as "Composition with Fish" and the restored work "In the Cowshed", works from Marcks' time at the Bauhaus in Weimar are also on display, including "The Owl" from 1921 from the first Bauhaus portfolio.
