Between the Small and Large Jasmund Bodden, the path leads close to the shore, lined with flowering wild herbs and wide expanses of water as far as the horizon. The trail then climbs through lush wetland forest into the oak-beech forest of the Jasmund terminal moraine, with magnificent views of reedy shores and the islands. The white-tailed eagle can sometimes be seen here.
The trail continues along winding paths along the edge of the forest down through broom heath with special heat-loving plant species such as the blood-red cranesbill and the swallow-wort gentian. When the sound of the Baltic Sea waves becomes audible in the pine crowns, we approach the dune forest and the flint fields of an older coastline. Let yourself be surprised by the landscape that has developed here.
