On the campaign days, a kilo of books costs one euro, and anyone interested can buy as many as they like
The antiquarian bookshop invites you to three "Books by the kilo" days this summer and fall: on Saturday, August 23 from 12 to 6 p.m. and on September 20 and October 11 from 2 to 6 p.m. each day. The reason for this special offer for price-conscious book lovers is the enormous growth in the book lovers' stock, which is bursting at the seams. On the campaign days, one kilo of books costs one euro; anyone interested can stock up on unlimited books: So eight crime novels and a cookbook together weigh 1.6 kilos, costing 1.60 euros. High-quality collector's items are of course excluded, which is why the selection is limited to books with a maximum individual price of 5 euros.
Visit the largest antiquarian bookshop in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with over 40,000 books and records. Our media are arranged by subject and presented in an accessible way on 350 square meters on the first floor of a listed harbour warehouse. Sofas and armchairs invite you to enjoy a quiet read. The antiquarian bookshop is run on a voluntary basis by the Freunde des Buches Neustrelitz e.V. and is open from Easter to the end of October. Cultural events round off the offer. We look forward to seeing you!
