She dances. She sings. She is spontaneous. And makes music with probably the hottest voice since Nina Hagen ...! Anna Mateur live at the Kulturhafen
She dances. She sings. She is spontaneous. And makes music with probably the hottest voice since Nina Hagen ...! Anna Mateur is this magnificent, wondrous phenomenon who, with her fabulous vocal volume and abysmal humorous seriousness, puts everything in the shade that tries to assert itself in this country as major art, minor art, secondary or intermediate art. Anna Mateur is: special art!
When Anna Mateur calls her new program "Kaoshüter", it is more than just a play on words. The vocal and eloquent specialist philosopher looks at a world full of guardians of order - and states: Creativity is needed, otherwise all the valves will burst. With refreshing overpressure, new songs and quirky stories, Anna turns every status quo into confetti and celebrates the long-awaited unexpected with the Beuys, who are in top form. An evening in which the symbiosis of emotion and insight provides the ultimate catharsis. Expect the unexpected. That's Anna Mateur!
The musicians at Anna Mateur's side, in changing line-ups, are Kim Efert (guitar), Samuel Halscheidt (guitar).
Anna Maria Vogt aka Anna Mateur, born in Dresden in 1977, studied music but would have preferred to apply for graphic design or acting. She has been touring the German-speaking world with her various musical formations since 2003, most recently with "Anna Mateur and the Beuys". Winner of many awards and always ready for a creative fling, she writes stage programs, song lyrics and radio columns and draws her stories live on transparencies, skin, tables and walls. Her passion is for systems between order and chaos. Various CDs with her musicians have been released by RoofMusic. Her first book "Wehwehchenatlas" and a solo radio play CD were published by "Voland & Quist", as was her latest live CD "Essnlassen" with Andreas Gundlach, piano, in December 2018.
