Morning prayer
"Lord, open my lips so that my mouth may proclaim your praise ..." This is how the monastic morning prayer begins. And it ends with "... as in the beginning, so now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen". It assumes that this prayer will continue: ad infinitum. The Bach Week takes up this tradition - at the crack of dawn in the light-flooded Annen Chapel.
