The Friends of the Ludwigsburg Palace and Estate near Greifswald invite you to the anniversary of the wedding of Ernst Ludwig and his wife on 25.10.2025.
To mark the anniversary of the wedding of Ernst Ludwig, Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast in October 1577, the association is dedicating an entire afternoon to his bride Sophia Hedwig, a Princess of Brunswick-Lüneburg by birth. Ludwigsburg Palace was built at the end of the 16th century as a summer residence on the banks of the Danish Wiek for Sophia Hedwig. The tour starts with a guided tour of the palace with a focus on the castle. During a break, the Friends' Association sells coffee and cake. The tour continues in the castle chapel, where actresses Anke Neubauer and Elke Zeh will give a reading of testimonies from important women: from Sophia Hedwig to Marie Curie. Registrations are not required. Admission is free - donations for the association and the two artists are requested.
