For the anniversary program, the initiator and artistic director of the AHRENSHOOPER SOCIAL CLUB has of course come up with something very special. The pianist and composer Lutz Gerlach wants to look back (but also forward) with a "Best Of" of the past years and has invited some of his favorite musicians.
These include the Canadian guitarist & singer Dave Goodman and the band "Kaisers New World". The wonderful accordionist Valentin Butt will celebrate the instrument of the year 2026 and the duo "Dean" (Oli Bostroem and Dirk Lorenz) will commemorate jazz singer Roger Cicero on the 10th anniversary of his death. New to the "Club" is the unique string quartet "Die Nixen" and of course - not just for the women's quota - the wonderful singer Claudia Wandt. Pianist Ulrike Mai has been with us from the very beginning and, as always, gives the project a very special (classical) touch. And as if all that wasn't enough, the musical director will try to get 25 musicians on stage together for the finale of the concert to celebrate the anniversary with a song. You can look forward to a concert full of premieres that will probably never take place again in this way - unique in the literal sense of the word.
