with the Collegium Musicum Schwerin
Location: Throne Room
For decades, the Collegium musicum Schwerin has been inviting audiences to enjoy festive music in the magnificent Throne Room at the start of the Advent season. Under the direction of Volker Reinhold a.G., principal concertmaster of the Staatskapelle Schwerin, the ensemble—together with soloist Florian Weber, principal trumpeter of the Staatskapelle Schwerin—presents a varied program ranging from Baroque splendor to Romantic richness.
The program features rare works from the early and late Romantic periods by Robert Schumann, Gustav Hollaender, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, as well as the popular Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major by Johann Baptist Georg Neruda. The concert is framed by Baroque festive music: concerti grossi by George Frideric Handel and Francesco Manfredini.
An atmospheric concert evening full of splendor, virtuosity, and pre-Christmas cheer.
Tickets: €15 / at the door (remaining tickets); advance sales starting November 9: Schwerin Tourist Information, T 0385 592 521 2
