Classic car glitz on the Cape: the Sunflower Rally stops off at the Rügenhof in Putgarten
Can you hear the distant rattling? That very special sound of engines that still have a soul? On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the Rügenhof in Putgarten on Cape Arkona will be transformed into a showplace of automotive history.
As part of the traditional "ADAC Sunflower Rallye", over 50 rare automobiles will make an exclusive stop here. It's that special moment when the scent of warm engine oil and old leather fills the sea air and the chrome of the car bodies shines brightly against the Baltic Sea.
History you can touch
Come by and travel back in time. Imagine a Briscoe Twenty-Four from 1919 - a true veteran of the road - parked right next to an elegant Chrysler from 1926. And for all those who have a heart for racing in the East: The legendary Melkus RS 1000 from 1972, the only real sports car from the GDR, will also be there.
Here, technology is not hidden behind barriers. You can get up close, marvel at the details and breathe in the flair of past decades in the middle of our historic Rügenhof.
This is what awaits you on June 27:
- Over 50 automotive treasures: Marvel at rarities from over 100 years of traffic history - from pre-war classics to cult sports cars.
- Petrol talk & shop talk: Meet the drivers, learn the stories behind the cars and experience the passion for historic sheet metal up close.
- Culinary highlights: Your physical well-being is well catered for! We spoil you with regional delicacies and coffee specialties directly at the Rügenhof.
- Hospitable atmosphere: Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere on the Cape - a perfect day for families, technology fans and Baltic Sea connoisseurs.
- When: Saturday, June 27, 2026, probably 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
