A discovery tour through nature and history with a picnic in the park
The tour begins with a certified tour guide at the historic Spyker Castle. After a warm welcome and an explanation of the castle's history (exterior view, as it is currently closed) and local legends, we walk around the left wing to the castle avenue.
The walk leads along the asphalt path along Spyker Lake to the bridge. This is where Spyker See and Mittelsee join. Before the picnic, we take a short walk through the castle park with its historic variety of trees. We discover impressive lime trees up to 300 years old and other rare trees.
The highlight is a stop in the accessible area of the park, where a prepared picnic (e.g. pastries, Mediterranean appetizers, cold drinks) is served at the stone tables. The way back to the parking lot is only a few meters. The tour ends after the shared picnic with the opportunity for feedback.
The tour is specially designed for people with limited mobility (wheelchairs, walking frames), groups of senior citizens and families with baby carriages to enable these target groups to enjoy an unrestricted experience of nature and culture.
