Open-air concert with music and a picnic on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., featuring the duo "Knopf & Zopf" at the Park Cemetery of the Kirch Stück Church
“Knopf & Zopf” is a diverse musical blend born from the collaboration of two passionate musicians and their varied, long-standing experiences with a wide range of ensembles and musical genres.
Their program strings together their own compositions like a necklace of precious pearls, reflecting influences from around the world and blending their diverse musical roots. Here, lively, stirring, Latin American-style tangos meet Sinti jazz and Balkan grooves, lively to melancholic musette waltzes with swing and bossa nova rhythms, and lively Irish-Scottish-inspired reels and jigs with bluegrass, country, and blues. With great sensitivity, spontaneity, and a gift for improvisation, the two come together with their virtuosic and lively playing to capture a wide range of musical moods and styles.
“Knopf & Zopf” consists of: multi-instrumentalist Karoline Frick— violin, tap shoes (sometimes both at the same time), and nyckelharpa—and
accordionist Gunnar Rieck, whose instrument is equipped with various MIDI-electronic extensions (double bass, rhythm guitar, honky-tonk piano, brass band…).
