Open-air concert featuring music and a picnic with the duo "Knopf & Zopf" on July 10, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Parkfriedhof cemetery of the Kirch Stück church. Admission is free!
On Friday, July 10, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the Friends of the Church in Kirch Stück e.V. will host an open-air concert featuring music and a picnic. The duo “Knopf & Zopf” will perform. The concert will take place at the Park Cemetery of St. Georg Church in Kirch Stück, An der Chaussee 2, 19069 Kirch Stück.
“Knopf & Zopf” offers a diverse musical mix, born from the collaboration of two passionate musicians and their varied, long-standing experiences with a wide range of ensembles and musical genres. Their program strings together their own compositions like a necklace of precious pearls, reflecting influences from around the world and blending their diverse musical roots. Here, lively, stirring, Latin American-style tangos meet Sinti jazz and Balkan grooves, lively to melancholic musette waltzes with swing and bossa nova rhythms, and vibrant Irish-Scottish-inspired reels and jigs, as well as bluegrass, country, and blues.
“Knopf & Zopf” consists of: multi-instrumentalist Karoline Frick—violin, tap shoes (sometimes both at the same time), and nyckelharpa—and
Accordionist: Gunnar Rieck with his instrument equipped with various MIDI-electronic extensions (double bass, rhythm guitar, honky-tonk piano, brass band…).
Everyone is warmly invited! Admission is free; at the end of the event, we will collect donations to cover the costs of the event and to fund construction projects in and around St. Georg Church in Kirch Stück.
This event is sponsored by the Northwest Mecklenburg District and the MV Volunteer Foundation.
