Cooperation with bookstore Frau Rilke and Aufbau Verlag
It all began 80 years ago in the ruins of Berlin. On August 16, 1945, Klaus Gysi, Kurt Wilhelm, Heinz Willmann and Otto Schiele founded Aufbau-Verlag in the Berlin district of Dahlem - a sign of hope, supported by the Soviet military administration. Just two days later, the publishing house received its first work order, and the official license followed in November.
On September 1, 2025, we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the long-established Aufbau Verlag - on World Peace Day. We will be joined by Nele Holdack (editor and publisher) and Prof. Carsten Gansel, literary scholar and author, who recently republished Theodor Plievier's "Stalingrad" with Aufbau Verlag.
Admission costs €12, reduced €8.
