Those who made it into exile in time were not always able to build on their former fame or develop their promising talent in a foreign country.

This year's Festival for Ostracized Music in the State capital Schwerin is dedicated to these artists and will take place together with the Days of Exile Schwerin event program from 8 to 14 November 2025.
November 14, 2025. The Schwerin Conservatory is one of the co-organizers and will be performing as part of its KON-Takte series on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 7 pm in the Brigitte Feldtmann
Hall at Puschkinstr. 6 for the final concert of the festival.

An exquisite selection of musical works by Hans Gál, Ruth Schonthal, Arnold Schönberg and Alexandre Tansman will be performed. The duo Roman Hinz- Anna Lang (violin and piano), Javad Foroutan (violin), Anne Christin Möbius (piano), Lisa Hübner (vocals) and the piano duo Haufe-Ahmels will perform. In keeping with the music, the Vice-Rector of the Rostock University of Music and Drama Prof.
Friederike Wißmann and the Iranian musicologist and musician Javad Foroutan will discuss the topic of exile art in an accompanying talk, also in the current context.

Admission costs €12 (reduced €8). Tickets can be reserved by emailing Ms. Semlow at dsemlow@schwerin.de. Admission is free for students and teachers of the Schwerin Conservatory. They are also requested to reserve tickets. Access to the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal is barrier-free.
