Boys' tournament
The Nordkurier junior soccer tournament is the largest indoor tournament for D-juniors in Germany. It has been held since 1966 (first in Neustrelitz, since 1970 in Neubrandenburg) and is one of the few traditional East German sporting events to have retained its place in the junior soccer calendar after reunification. Around 1900 matches have been kicked off in the name of mascot Toppi.
