55 years of the Bad Doberan wind orchestra - anniversary concert on the festival meadow

Half a century plus five years of musical history: the Bad Doberan Wind Orchestra is celebrating its 55th anniversary - and invites you to a festive concert on the festival meadow at the monastery.
On Sunday, August 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., brass music in all its diversity will be played - from classical to modern, from marches and swing to musical and film melodies.
The orchestra was founded in 1970 as the Bad Doberan Youth Wind Orchestra. The first performance took place on May 1, 1970 in the Rosengarten.
The first rehearsal rooms were in the school on the Buchenberg, later in the outbuilding of today's Kornhaus - today the orchestra rehearses in the "Haus der Horizonte". It has been a registered association since 1993. Winfried Kraeft has been the musical director for many years and has developed a considerable repertoire under his baton. You can look forward to an entertaining concert with history, a rich sound and good humor - and raise a glass to 55 years of music in Bad Doberan together with the orchestra!
