The 48-Hour Short Film Challenge kicks off on November 28! You must creatively incorporate three given keywords. You have until 8:00 p.m. on November 30 to shoot a short film—either alone or as a team—that’s no longer than five minutes—using just one camera, in a single take, and with absolutely no editing!
Do you love movies and have always wanted to get behind the camera yourself? The **“48h Durchdrehen!”** short film competition in Stralsund gives you that chance! Organized by Medienwerkstatt Identity Films e.V. and MakerPort Stralsund, you’ll create your own short film—either alone or as part of a team—within 48 hours, using a smartphone or camera, with absolutely no prior experience required.
**The Concept: 48 – 5 – 3 – 1 – 0**
- **48 hours** to make your short film
- **5 minutes** maximum runtime
- **3 keywords** that must appear in the film
- **1 camera, 1 take** – all in one continuous shot
- **0 cuts** – your film is shot without any cuts

**The 48-Hour Challenge | November 28–30, 2026**
On November 28 at 8:00 p.m., the three required keywords will be announced. Then the countdown begins! Your finished short film must be submitted by November 30 at 8:00 p.m.
**Premiere & Awards Ceremony | December 21, 2026**
On SHORT FILM DAY, all submitted films will celebrate their grand premiere at MakerPort Stralsund. The audience will vote live to choose the winning film!
