emBRASSment (Leipzig Brass Quintet)
The Leipzig brass quintet emBRASSment dedicates this concert to the world of Romanticism - with works by Anton Bruckner, Richard Strauss and Manfred Schlenker (100th birthday). A special focus is on Schlenker's impressive composition "Life Stages of the Painter Caspar David Friedrich": paintings and life stages of the great Romantic are made audible in eleven musical soundscapes. emBRASSment - that's Christian Scholz, Nick Pscheidt (trumpet), Luis Oliveira (horn), Lars Proxa (trombone) and Nikolai Kähler (tuba): tonal warmth, precision and joy of playing from the music city of Leipzig.
