What have we done to this world with our natural intelligence? Achievements like health insurance, Carnival, and the Kama Sutra are pitted against wars, climate change, and TikTok. We’ve invented national debt, Botox, and e-scooters, but the German Armed Forces couldn’t even fend off an attack by the Hell’s Angels on Hanover right now. In the face of rampant stupidity, who wouldn’t want to constantly cry out, “Lord, send brains from heaven!”? On the other hand, we humans have always managed to creatively wriggle our way out of every crisis…
Robert Griess once again mobilizes all reserves of natural intelligence to take stock in a way that’s as entertaining as it is varied.
