After all, Sergei Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony, along with his First Violin Concerto—composed around the same time—marked the beginning of a great career. Leokadia Kaschperowa, too, dreams of this—as a teacher, pianist, and composer. In the early 19th century, her works—including her only symphony—were performed and published throughout Europe.
