You don't have to go all the way to Berlin to be surprised! The current exhibition season at the Kunsthaus Lübz is a highlight of the statewide LUPINALE 2026.
From July 18 through August 9, the third exhibition sequence as part of LUPINALE 2026 —under the theme “A Turning Point: Upheavals and Glimmers of Hope”— brings together profound insights and surprising discoveries by regional and international artists.
During this phase, the Kunsthaus Lübz will present a rich tapestry of four thematic focal points:
““HOME” by Melika Vikalo: In her series, the artist—who was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina—explores the delicate boundaries between the body, home, and identity. Her works examine origin and belonging in times of upheaval.
““Let the Wooden Eye Be Vigilant” by Diana Weber: The Lübz-based veterinarian and illustrator brings true circular art to the canvas. Using acrylics and colored pencils on old scrap wood, she brings to life hidden creatures and faces that she discovers in the wood’s natural knots.
Paintings by Beate Greskamp: The Parchim-based artist, who has been firmly rooted in the regional art scene for decades, enriches the exhibition with her expressive painterly works.
“Interior Design—A Poetic Renovation” by Antje Medwed: The well-known singer, author, and composer presents her poetry as a space for inner reflection and emotional turning points.
The high-caliber ensemble of exhibitors for the 3rd Sequence is rounded out by works by Heike Büttner, Christel Dettmann, Mari Meyer, Carmen Spiering, and Johannes Terbach.
