On April 22, the third meeting of former members of the Rostock diesel engine plant (DMR) will take place at the Rostock Maritime Museum in IGA Park. From 15:00 to 17:30, all interested parties are invited to share memories and exchange ideas in a special atmosphere.
The venue is the traditional ship, which today serves as a maritime museum offering numerous insights into the history of seafaring. The meeting is aimed in particular at former DMR employees, who have the opportunity to maintain old contacts and hold new discussions.
In addition to personal exchanges, the focus is also on viewing the exhibits from the diesel engine plant on display in the museum. These provide fascinating insights into Rostock's industrial past and the importance of the DMR for the region.
Another item on the program of the event is the presentation of the book "DMR - Innenansichten" by Volker Spiegelberg. The book sheds light on the history of the company from different perspectives and allows contemporary witnesses to have their say.
The meeting therefore not only offers space for reminiscences, but also the opportunity to keep an important chapter of Rostock's industrial history alive.
