Güstrow Art Night Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
Twenty-five years ago, the Güstrow Art and Antiquities Association (KAV) came up with the idea of organizing an event in Güstrow modeled after the “Long Night of Museums” held in major cities such as Berlin. Since 2001, the traditional pillars of the city’s cultural life have been involved: the City Museum, the Ernst Barlach Theater, the two churches, the Ernst Barlach Museums, and the Uwe Johnson Library. While initially only the Harff Gallery participated as a private organizer, numerous others have joined since then. This year, 36 organizers have put together a multifaceted program of exhibitions, concerts, readings, and performances with energy and ingenuity. The Güstrow Art and Antiquities Association (Kunst- und Altertumsverein Güstrow e.V.) and all participating organizations wish visitors from near and far an unforgettable cultural experience.
