In memory of Queen Luise
The future Queen Luise of Prussia was born on March 10, 1776. Rudolf G. Scharmann, former castellan of Charlottenburg Palace, has been invited as a guest speaker for her "milestone birthday". He will give a lecture at the place where the Queen died, Hohenzieritz Palace, entitled: "Queen Louise of Prussia. Life and Myth". He will describe both her private and public life, as well as her later transfiguration and the emergence of the Luise cult. He will also present his recently published new book about Queen Luise.
The lecture will take place on 14.03.2026 at 3 pm.
The Luisen Memorial will be open from 11 am on this day.
Entry to the memorial and participation in the lecture are free on this day.
