35 years of agricultural policy and policy for rural areas
The agricultural policy conference of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung 2026 is approaching! In the year of the 2026 state elections, we look back on 35 years of agricultural policy and policy for rural areas. We look back at what has been achieved, but we mainly want to focus on the potential and possible conflicts of the future, including with:
-Dr. Till Backhaus, Minister for Climate Protection, Agriculture, Rural Areas and the Environment MV
- Kerstin Rosenow, Head of the Department for Economic Sustainability, Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission
-Karsten Trunk, President of the Farmers' Association MV e.V.
-Prof. Dr. Sebastian Lakner, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Rostock
-Sabrina Repp, Member of the European Parliament
-Dr. Franziska Kersten, Member of the German Bundestag
and other experts from agriculture, science and politics - and of course with you.
What challenges lie ahead for agriculture and rural areas in our federal state? What can be expected from a federal policy perspective and from the European level? What potentials and conflicts does the interplay of agricultural and energy policy hold at local level? An invitation and program will follow. Registration is now open.
We cordially invite you!
