Review of the year Ruwe/Valenske (known from the Berlin Distel) present: 2026 - it wasn't all good In 2026, the world is once again showing its best side: there's armament and frustration, there's sabotage and clinking of glasses, we finally know where to find Greenland and Venezuela on the atlas again, there's a World Cup where people talk about everything except soccer and while there are finally signs of life in space, the search for intelligent beings on Earth has long since been abandoned.
With so much artificial intelligence and human stupidity, one thing is certain: people with a sense of humor had a clear advantage in 2026, because no matter where we look, there's always a crazy person somewhere who needs our attention: whether it's an orange man from a white house who beats up Europe with a folding rule or a completely colourless chancellor who says thank you afterwards, this year had something for every pessimist. There was no end to the need for satirical discussion, which the two showcase cabaret artists Henning Ruwe and Martin Valenske (known from Berlin's DISTEL) tackled with plenty of humor as well as pointed and blunt remarks. Because the case is clear: the best place to laugh is on the edge. The audience can expect a furious review of the year in well overdosed sharpness. Warning: very funny!
