It all started very small 20 years ago - as street music with a guitar, bass, cajon and two angelic voices. No stage, no plan, just the desire to make music and make people smile. Today, Les Bummms Boys stand for exactly what they were back then: loud, honest, playful and full of heart and soul.
Over time, spontaneous jam sessions on the streets of Rostock turned into a band that could no longer be ignored. They played their way through cities, clubs, festivals and backyards - well over 1000 concerts later, one thing is clear: the hat is full of stories, the spirit remains the same.
With four studio albums, an EP and numerous singles, the guys have carved out their very own place between brass, indie, pop and ska. Ambivalent lyrics, crisp brass and beats that move your head and body - that's the unmistakable BUMMMS! sound. Sometimes loud and euphoric, sometimes thoughtful and raw, but always with a wink and this irrepressible desire to celebrate life
To mark their 20th anniversary, Les Bummms Boys are back with their fifth studio album - new songs, new sounds and the familiar joy of experimentation. And of course there will be a celebration:
On July 23, the big anniversary concert will take place in the Klostergarten Rostock - their home port. Friends, companions, guests and fans will celebrate what has driven the band for two decades: life and music - which is actually the same thing.
