On July 1, we celebrate the 195th Barth Children's Festival. The Barth Children's Festival has been part of UNESCO Germany's Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2016. It is the oldest festival of its kind in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The highlight of the festival is the determination of the new royal couple at 4 p.m. on the Barth open-air stage.
Before that, the citizens of Barth are awakened by various bands from 6:00 in the morning. At 9.00 o'clock is the opening on the Barther market place. Throughout the day there will be fun and games for young and old in the city park, the Barther Anlagen.
